FAQs

Does The Improvaneer Method have an inclusion and accessibility policy?

The Improvaneer Method includes all individuals regardless of abilities, race, gender, sexual orientation, religion or other in their programs. We have a zero discrimination policy. As long as participants and audience members are able to respect one another, do not hold judgement against anyone during a class or performance, and are willing to have a great time, we are happy to include all who wish to participate.

The Improvaneer Method works with all venues that we perform in or hold classes in to make sure they are fully accessible and ADA compliant. We encourage all participants, caregivers or audience members to please contact us with any questions or accessibility requests so that we can make sure to make any necessary accommodations.

How can I take a class?

  1. Take an online class. Our online classes offer the most flexibility. If you aren’t associated with an organization the best fit is our Improv For All! or IFA classes. Even though our classes are built in a progressional manner, we still always welcome new participants. Check the upcoming events tab for when new classes may be starting or email info@theimprovaneermethod.com to be fit with a class!

  2. Start a group online class. Do you work for an organization or know of a group of community members who would want to be in class together? Reach out! We will find the best time for your members and pair you with one of our Certified Directors! Classes are best with 6-10 participants! Email info@theimprovaneermethod.com to inquire!

  3. Join a live class! If you are in the NE Ohio area we are currently offering classes in Cleveland, Akron, Medina and Bowling Green. Please reach out to info@theimprovaneermethod.com to learn more about our openings and class schedules!

  4. Start your own live class! We currently partner with different organizations around NE Ohio to begin run our classes. To start a new live class, we need to have an available Director, 2-3 sidekicks (aka our volunteers) an available space, and 6-10 participants!

  5. Look into our specialty programs! In 2024, we have begun two new specialty programs based on self-advocacy and interview skills. Our current classes are sponsored by Medina County Board DD and the Employment Collaboration of Cuyahoga County. Check our upcoming events page where we will post opportunities as they arise! Want to bring a specialty program to your area? Reach out! Email: info@theimprovaneermethod.com

How do I bring a program to my area if I’m not in NE Ohio?

The best thing to do is to schedule a call with CEO Rob Snow and COO Liz Kutinsky to discuss and share about your goals and community. The Improvaneer Method does license our live programming and is currently in partnership with over 10 organizations around the country.

How else can I get involved?

If you aren’t interested in taking a class, consider being a sidekick for one of our live programs! This opportunity is geared towards high school and college students looking for a creative, inclusive experience and learning opportunity. Sidekicks will assist the Director by modeling improv games, providing support to participants in class through games or helping with situations non-related to class. Check out our flier here! Email
